I've received some extremely helpful comments on my Eastern Marsh Harrier photos from Teruaki Morioka, one of the world's leading authorities on Eastern Marsh Harrier and author of 'The Birds of Prey in Japan' (ISBN 4-8299-2125-0).

Well worth a read if you're interested in unraveling the mysteries of harrier aging and sexing!
